Morning prayer meetings

Last week, we had a very wonderful week of morning and evening prayer meetings at the various locations:

Mornings
- Jurong West St 91
- Kreta Ayer (Church of Singapore Harvest)
- Singapore Post (Heart of God Church)

Evenings
- Jurong West St 91
- Riverwalk.

Having attended all the morning prayer meetings at Kreta Ayer, i feel very spiritually charged up and yearning to wake up early for prayer meetings. Though physically the tiredness is added on more and more, but spiritually the hunger for the presence of God increases day-by-day.

Racing against time is of the essence especially for the morning prayer meetings, which started at 6.30am at the 3 locations. It's not easy to be waking up at 5am in the mornings, even on a normal work day.

Strangely enough, during the whole week of prayer, even the sleepyheads are wide awake before 5am in anticipation for the prayer meetings. And i'm sure everyone is very bless during this whole week.

So, if u hasn't attended any prayer meetings yet, be it in the mornings or evening prayer meetings (which is from 6pm - 7pm), try to attend the next one, which will be in April 2009. I'm very sure u will be bless, and yearning to come and pray more and more!

Hi!! From a while ago...

Hello there!

Finally, after a 6 week hiatus, i'm finally back and raring to go.

First up, it is great to be finally back and serving everyone on W74ers blog. I hope everyone had a very properous 牛year, where good quality time was spent with family and friends.

And not to forget, our very own 捞鱼生.

捞阿捞。。。捞个大肥年!!

So, as usual, this is usually a very messy affair. =)

Before the mess started, say 新年快乐!!

In the midst of all the economic gloom, may 2009 be a more prosperous year ahead for all of us. As we began to trust in the Lord, He will lead us out of this economic tsunami. Know that our God is not limited by the economic situation; He's unlimited!

Amen!

19 - 23 Nov 2008: Asia Conference

Yesterday was the finale night of Asia Conference 2008.

After 5 power-pack days of sessions with Pst Phil Pringle, Dr A.R Bernard, our very own Pastor Kong, and the healing service with Rev Benny Hinn, 6 sessions of electives, the 'Special' Musical, we are glad to say that we are tremendously bless by the whole conference.

At Hall 7

At Hall 8

To sum up, most of us whom i have spoken to, has been tremendously blessed by the whole conference. Though we need to sacrifice our sleep (waking up very early to queue up so that we won't end up at the overflow hall) taking leave to come and risking our heap of work on our tables when we come back from leave, but everything that we have done to come for the conference, every moment is worth it. Our minds have been renewed, and we have received a new vision for our lives and how we should engage culture in a more effective way.

Our next Asia Conference is in 2010! Look out for it!

3 Days to Asia Conference

Hi Everyone!!!

Can u feel the excitement bursting in the air? Asia Conference will be starting in 3 more days!!

I believe that you have already taken leave and ready yourself to come for the conference. And you have already made the selections on what electives you want to attend. By now, you would have be given a lanyard, which looks like this.

This lanyard has a few uses:
a) It's for your entrance to the hall for the day sessions.
b) It will also tell u which are the electives that you can go for (see pink space in picture). There will be 6 boxes (2 sessions each day, for 3 days) which has a color code for u to follow.
c) It will also entitle u for the lunch at Hall 7 in the 5 days.

For more information on the electives, please click Here. For exact locations, please refer to the urshers on the day itself, or you can take a look at the handouts that are given with the bulletin this weekend.

Have a great conference, and hope u are greatly bless by this conference, this is Jenna, signing off for now. =)

Arising and Building the House of God

This weekend is going to be a very exciting weekend for all of us at City Harvest Church. It will be the Arise and Build Weekend. We will be pledging what we have set to give to build a church building, for the marketplace, to penetrate the marketplace, for Jesus.

I remembered that i first started sowing into the Arise and Build Campaign in 1998. At that time, the church was situated at Paya Lebar, at the Hollywood theatre, next to the Lion City Hotel. That time, our church wasn't as big as now. During that time, we were giving and waiting for a land to come. Though the waiting time is long, but God made a way.

In late 1999 / somewhere 2000, we finally managed to find a land. It wasn't exactly a best land, as it was located like right next to the Causeway in Tuas. But God's ways are always higher than our ways. And we got the land, and built it 4 levels underground for the auditorium, and 4 levels up for carparks, baptism pool, bible study classes etc etc. We shifted into the new building in late 2001. It was a very emotional moment for all of us - Finally, our own building!

This creative idea to build below land level was a God-given idea. Since the building can't expand on the sides, it can only go up higher, or go deeper. And this idea was such a new concept, that NTU students came and studied our building.

Friends, let's begin to arise and build together with the rest of the church. We are all moving together, believing in the vision that God has given to us.

Even though we had about 3 Arise and Build campaigns, there wasn't any news about the land as yet. In spite of it, let's continue to keep on keeping in the faith. Know that God will come through for us. Our land will come! If God can do it for us when we were in Paya Lebar, He can do it for us again.
